活動簡介

為響應香港協辦第十五屆全國運動會（全運會），本校將於全運會舉行期間(2025年11月9日至21日) 設立及營運一個呼號為 VR2NGC 的特別業餘無線電台。此舉旨在透過大氣電波這個獨特的平台，向全球業餘無線電愛好者宣傳此項國家級盛事，讓學生親身「上全運」，共同營造熾熱的氛圍。

是次活動由本校師生共同進行。為配合全運會的紀念意義，本校早前已成功向香港通訊事務管理局辦公室（OFCA）申請獲批此特別呼號。VR2NGC 的呼號別具心思：「VR2」為國際電信聯盟指配予香港的地區代碼，而「NGC」則取自「National Games of the People's Republic of China」（全國運動會）的英文縮寫，充份體現活動的紀念價值。

通聯確認卡

是次活動亦包含通聯確認卡(QSL card)設計比賽，QSL卡是用以互相確認通聯及紀念的憑證，別具收藏意義。這項安排成功地將STEAM（科學、科技、工程、藝術、數學）理念完美結合，讓無論是精於技術操作科技的學生，還是擅長創意設計的學生，都能找到自己的舞台，用各自的專長為全運會出一分力，共同投入這場盛事。我們歡迎同好與本校師生交換QSL卡片 (SASE)，本校亦會視乎情況盡量發出卡片。

Event Introduction

In support of Hong Kong's role as a co-host for the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China, our school will establish and operate a special event amateur radio station with the call sign VR2NGC. The station will be active during the Games, from November 9 to 21, 2025.

This initiative aims to leverage the unique platform of radio waves to promote this prestigious national event to amateur radio enthusiasts worldwide. It also provides an opportunity for our students to personally engage with the Games and contribute to the enthusiastic atmosphere.

The station will be operated jointly by our school's staff and students. To commemorate this significant event, the school successfully applied for and was granted this special call sign by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) of Hong Kong.

The call sign VR2NGC was chosen thoughtfully:

• "VR2" is the prefix assigned to Hong Kong by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

• "NGC" is the acronym for the "National Games of the People's Republic of China."

This combination fully embodies the commemorative value of the activity.

QSL (Contact Confirmation) Card

The event also features a QSL card design competition. A QSL card serves as a formal confirmation of a two-way radio communication and is often kept as a commemorative item, holding significant collectible value.

This arrangement perfectly integrates the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) philosophy. It provides a platform for all students—whether they excel in technical operations or in creative design—to showcase their talents, contribute to the National Games using their unique skills, and actively participate in this grand occasion.

We welcome fellow amateur radio operators to exchange QSL cards with our staff and students (SASE welcome). We will also endeavor to issue cards as circumstances permit.
