Introduction 

Objectives:

The overall aims of the English Department are:

1. to develop students’ English proficiency for future studies and work.

2. to provide students with knowledge and skills to meet the standards of the public exams in Hong Kong.

3. to extend students’ vocabulary, knowledge and experiences of the cultures of different places through the English medium.

4. to increase students’ motivation in learning and using English as a means of communication.

5. to foster good learning habits and help students achieve self-directed learning through the promotion of STEM education.

6. to enhance students’ positive values and establish a culture of appreciation by recognising students’ achievements.

7. to equip students with independent learning skills and build confidence in learning.

8. to help students foster a sense of national identity while recognizing Hong Kong’s culture and heritage.

Our school is committed to creating a comfortable English environment for the students. A wide variety of activities are organized every year to enrich students’ learning experience and improve their English proficiency.
